Summer’s Coming

Today is the last Sunday of Sunday School at many churches. Weekly classes take a break for summer. I had mixed feelings about this tradition for awhile.

I could hear my dad saying something to the effect of –

God doesn’t take a vacation, why should we?

But I’ve found that breaks are helpful for an abundance of reasons. Another post can tackle those pros and cons.

I want to know:

DOES YOUR CHURCH TAKE A SUMMER BREAK FROM WEEKLY CLASSES?

IF SO, THEN DO YOU AS A PARENT DO EXTRA ACTIVITIES, STUDY, or TALKS IN ITS PLACE?

My first summer at Apostles, I sent a weekly story scripture and quiz questions with stickers and such for our children’s families.

In the mail.

The real snail mail.

Who doesn’t like real mail?

THIS SUMMER I’ll send a Youtube clip to your inbox.

Who doesn’t like youtube? Some weeks there might be a cute cat…WHO KNOWS?
